SA 11.1. E2-M3A – SOUTHERN ADRIATIC DEEP WATER FORMATION, HEAT BUDGET, AND CARBONATE SYSTEM TO ASSESS CLIMATIC VARIATION AND OCEAN ACIDIFICATION OGS, Trieste, Italy Manuel Bensi*, Cardin V., Ursella L., Siena G., Giani M., Brunetti F., Giorgetti A., Partescano E. Here I present the service activity outputs from E2M3A observatory, General Assembly 2017 Vilanova i la Geltrú, Spain; 27 – 29 June 2017

SA 11.1. E2-M3A WP 10 – Service Activities Category: Ocean physics and climate change The E2-M3A observatory, located in the South Adriatic Sea (Eastern Mediterranean), provides the following variables available by graphical output and data access: Meteorological parameters at the sea surface, pH, pCO2 below the sea surface (2m depth) T, Sal, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, transmittance, and ocean currents (horizontal and vertical) at various depths (from 2m to 1200m) Some parameters are made publicly available in Near-Real time, others in delayed mode ~ 3-4 months after each yearly maintenance. As probably part of you already know, E2M3A is a multy array observatory, located in the southern part of the Adriatic Sea, in the Mediterranean It is composed by a deep mooring 1000 m length, and a surface buoy with both atmospheric sensors and sub surface intruments. Hence the SA outputs include data from air sea interaction and deep sea processes.

SA 11.1. E2-M3A WP 10 – Service Activities The Evolution of the E2M3A within FIXO3 2013-2017 2011-2013 Service activities: E2M3A Observatory offered 34 months data starting in September’14 (month 13) within the FIXO3 - SA. 2006… Let me say that the observatory had an important evolution within the FIXO3 project. We can summarize this evolution through five points. Surface buoy with nRT data added Sediment traps added (collaboration with italian CNR-ISMAR) pH and pCO2 added Deep sensors upgrades (CT with oxygen, pressure sensors, etc…) TNA experiment between 2015- 2017 in collaboration with Aanderaa

SA 11.1. E2-M3A Service activities outputs Air-Sea interaction WP 10 – Service Activities Service activities outputs Air-Sea interaction Time series available for visualization through web graphic tools and graphic outputs. Starting from the air-sea interaction data we can see here example of outputs available within fixo3 service activity task.
