Kastner Volleyball Basics

Volleyball An official volleyball team has six (6) players on each side.

Volleyball In volleyball, the team scoring 25 points and leading by 2 is the winner.

Volleyball Each team may touch the ball up to three (3) times before sending it over the net.

Volleyball The player in the right back position is the server.

Volleyball A player continues to serve until his team commits a fault and a side out is called. Then the serve goes to the other team. A point is scored after every serve. The point goes to the team who did not commit the fault.

Volleyball In volleyball, all line balls are considered in.

Volleyball Your team rotates when they win the ball from the serving team and a side out is called.

Volleyball You should always call the score before you serve. The serving teams score is always said first. After the first game a new game should be started with the losing team serving first. Serves can touch the net and are considered good if they make it over and into the opposing court.

Volleyball Passes, sets, spikes, serves, digs and blocks are the only legal hits allowed in volleyball. No holds, throws or slaps are allowed.

Volleyball The ball can be played even if it hits the net at any time.

Volleyball A player may not touch the ball two times in a row.

Volleyball A player cannot touch the net or go underneath the net.

Volleyball A pass, set, spike is considered a perfect play in volleyball.
