Action Plan- Membership 365

Goals Intake goal Net/Net goal Star Council goal Council Reactivation goal New Council Development goal Round Table goal

How can your goal be achieved… Develop a Monthly Membership Program. (use your fraternal planner) Promote Membership 24 / 7 / 365 Church Drives National Drives October 2015 and March 2016 Promote Membership at State Events

How can your goal be achieved… Promote Every Council Active Use a Guide to Membership Growth (Form # 10067) Know what you as State Deputy want to accomplish on July 1, 2015 If you wait until 1-1-16 it may be too late!

Develop State Membership Contest Develop state awards for recruiters who recruit 3,6,9,12 members Reward councils that reach a level in a given time frame E.g. Six New Members, July 1 to December 31 Reward District Deputies who hold at least one First Degree every month

Develop State Membership Contest Develop state incentives for District Deputies who have 1,2,3 or 4 star councils within district Hold regional, diocesan competitions with reward going to Bishop or local charity Develop contests that grow the jurisdiction

Every Council Active Mindset State Family needs to believe in recruitment 24/7/365 Leave no active council behind Hold your District Deputies accountable

Degrees are the Key to Success District Deputy – Is Your Key for 1st Degrees: DD encourages councils to hold monthly 1st Degrees DD should schedule at least one 1st Degree each month DD to be accountable and should send listing of 1st Degrees in district each month No schedule is not an option Schedule frequent Second and Third Degrees. Some councils wait until a 2nd or 3rd Degree is scheduled before they recruit in the 1st Degree

Council Reactivation Is there still a need? Is the parish still active? If parish facility is closed: is there still a need for community support? Does the closed parishes still have a need for service (weddings, funerals, etc.)? Active Council vs. Suspended Council Suspended Councils need to be reactivated Follow the guidelines for Council Reactivation Reactivated Councils recruit on an average: Eleven new members during Reactivation Ten new members during their 1st active year

New Council Development NCD helps grow your jurisdiction Establish potential sites now NCD – 50 to 60% of the members are new members New councils recruit on an average of 10 new members during its first year

New Council Development Use diocesan listing to develop potential sites in July and August Report potential sites to us by 9-1-15 Use Chaplain to help promote new council development to the pastor Use “7 Week Action Plan to Start a New Council” (Form #4898)

Round Tables A Round Table is an extension of the council’s services to missions, small parishes, or other parishes being served by the council Active Round Tables bring in on average 3 new members per year Round Tables become new councils

Programs Every program is a recruitment opportunity Every program should ask for volunteers from the parish The more visible your programs are, the more potential for recruitment

Support Staff You cannot do it alone – No “I” in team Choose a good membership team: They believe in growth They believe in your vision

State/Council Chaplains Ask them to help Dedicate a Degree for them Thank them

General Agents/Field Agents Professional who can recruit Teach others how to recruit Help with NCD and Council Reactivation Great Resources – Ask them

MPC a Valuable Asset MPC’s can help you train councils and districts MPC’s are experienced They have been in your position MPC’s are there to help and support you Not to be you MPC’s can help your jurisdiction achieve its quota, especially “Star Council”

Star Council Set your goal for 20-25% of your councils reaching Star Council At least One Star Council in each District

Closing Membership 365 At Least One 1st Degree, Per District, Per Month New Council Development helps grow your jurisdiction Promote Council Reactivation Promote Round Tables One Star Council, per District, per Year Start now working towards 20% or at least 1per district Establish Incentives and Contests that will grow your jurisdiction
