March 2017 – Community round table discussions to assess our image and opportunities October Long-range Planning paper – Jim Cairney November January 2018 – Discussion groups with Christ Church members to get input on possible direction and opportunities for the future Input

3 Demographics - aging congregation and millennials who aren’t comfortable with the traditional church approach. Limited volunteer and leadership resources Location – CCU not on a main street to attract attention Building – facilities not optimal to help the church move forward. Spiritual Engagement – difficulty in attracting and retaining new people. Community profile – mainly known for Spring Thing Time – Some urgency to act now while we have the people, financial resources and the opportunities to make viable choices. Challenges

look at new worship opportunities and spiritual programs for all ages nurture a Christian community - focused on reflection, Christian faith, sharing of spirituality and growth in same explore using music or some other programs to engage young families develop a plan to renew and refresh church space and facilities to support a welcoming and modern worship environment Action items
