Graduation Do’s and Don’ts The graduation is a respectful ceremony where your parents can rejoice and celebrate your accomplishment with you and your classmates. We want to end this wonderful journey together, but know that you are NOT required to participate in the ceremony. Students who participate in the ceremony are expected to abide by these rules SENIOR REPORTING TIME: Seniors are to report to the UTEP Don Haskins Center promptly at 12:30pm on Friday, June 2, 2017 on the second floor above the tunnel inside the Don Haskins Center. Reminders Be on Time! Respectful! Stay seated! 12:30 PM Ceremony starts exactly at 2:00 PM Seniors must stay in their assigned seat

Graduation Do’s and Don’ts We will respect all our speakers. Under no circumstances will we disrespect the ceremony by talking, laughing or playing around. Students or audience members who disrupt the ceremony will be escorted out. Remember this ceremony is a privilege – Bulldogs are always respectful. Parents remember that we are calling out student names at a fast pace. While celebrating your child's success is important remember excessive yelling can cause other parents not to hear their child’s name. Under no circumstances will you deface the cap or gown. You cannot decorate the cap or gown in any way – it is already beautiful! Should anyone show up to the ceremony with a defaced cap or gown, the Herff-Jones representative will be readily available to sell you another cap and/or gown. Absolutely no facial piecing(s) allowed! Students with facial piercing(s) will be asked to throw it away – please keep it at home for these 2 hours.

Graduation Do’s and Don’ts Men will wear a collared shirt, no polos. Tie, slacks and dress shoes are required. No t-shirts, No jeans, No tennis shoes, No flip flops – NO EXCEPTIONS!! Ladies will wear appropriate attire for a ceremony with dress shoes. (Think twice about those high heels – there are stairs and you will be standing for about 2 hours) You will not be able to carry your purse. No tennis shoes, No flip flops, No corsages - NO EXCEPTIONS!!  The dress code is non-negotiable. All students will be searched for contraband. THE DON HASKINS CENTER DOES NOT ALLOW BALLONS, STROLLERS, OR NOISEMAKERS. DO NOT BRING THESE TO the ceremony. The graduates will not be allowed to take anything from anyone in the audience!

Joyful celebration!
