PEOPLE: Forgive me if I have ever felt ashamed to bow my head in public and offer thanks for fresh bread. You aren’t calling us to be a spectacle. PASTOR: We have made prayer about ourselves. We are so fixated on narrow slices of pain. PEOPLE: Help me today to pray for men everywhere. All through the day, let me live in a spirit of intercession for those around me. PASTOR: Allow us to sense your compassion for people we barely notice. PEOPLE: Save someone today, someone dear to me. The Profile … The Ansari are predominately artisans by trade and are mostly poor and illiterate. The weaving of silk is a common trade skill of these people. The Ansari are Muslim who practice folk Islam which incorporates many folk beliefs into their observance of the religion. Prayer … Pray that God will go before us, revealing himself supernaturally through dreams and visions, opening hearts and doors. Pray for teachers and trainers– who can disciple and train the harvest to reach others. Pray that Indian believers will be given a burden for the salvation of the Ansari and that God will raise up laborers to work among this people group. Pray for an openness to scripture, a desire for hearing the story & reading the scriptures will be created in the Ansari hearts and minds.
