2. The Mandate:
Then Joshua said to the children of Israel: ‘How long will you neglect to go and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers has given you?’ (Joshua 18:3).

3. The Meditation:
PASTOR: Lord, we see them everywhere now, the Muslim women who proudly wear a hijab and the men who carry with them their prayer mats. They are boldly and openly Muslim in what was a Christian nation.
PEOPLE: We resist identifying symbols and public Christian actions. Muslims are evangelizing us. They have an intentional and national strategy to claim this nation.
PASTOR: Lord, we have no such plan. And sadder still, we do not have nearly the equal resolve. We drift from Sunday to Sunday. We are not mission-minded – and the harvest field is now around us.
PEOPLE: Forgive us, Lord. We are losing the Christian roots of the nation. Whatever happens, begins in prayer. Today, I ask you to help me to remove the cover from my light, to be salt outside the salt shaker.

4. The Profile …
The Badagas are an agricultural people and by far the most numerous and wealthy of the hilly area people.
They grow different kinds of vegetables, tea, and coffee.
They are Hindu and belong to the Shaivite group.
They worship deities of both great and little traditions.

5. Prayer …
Pray that the worldview of the Badaga would be enlightened and
Pray these people will clearly understand what it means to know and follow Christ, distinguishing this from a mere cultural identification with the Christian religion.
Pray that the Badaga people, especially those that are younger, will learn of the availability of the Jesus film and other videos and recordings on the Internet. Pray the Lord will lead them to download, view, and listen and that the Lord will give them understanding.
The Badaga are a relatively wealthy people, and this often leads to pride. Pride is deadly. Pray against the effects of pride in this community.
