What is the invisible line at 0° latitude called? The equator is the invisible line at 0° latitude. The equator is the “belt” of the earth.

What kind of lines show how far a place is away from the equator? Lines of latitude show how far a place is away from the equator. Lines of latitude are also called parallels. Lines of latitude run east and west.

What is the invisible line at 0° longitude called? The invisible line of longitude at 0° is called the Prime Meridian. The Prime Meridian is also called the International Date Line.
