Attendance Please email Mr. Hinojosa at ehinoj05@sisd.net We realize that children can become ill and it may be necessary to keep them home with you. If your child is not in school they can not benefit from the day’s lessons and will miss out on important material. A parent/doctor’s note is required for any absence to be excused. These notes need to be received within two days of the absence. Additionally, please make a point to schedule doctor appointments for your child after 10:00 am. The school does reward perfect attendance, but if your child has a fever or is contagious please do not send them to school.  Please email Mr. Hinojosa at ehinoj05@sisd.net Student name & Date Teacher name & Reason

Notes and Homework Please check your child’s backpack each day for notes. Homework will be sent every Monday. Each week’s homework will be handed in every Friday. Homework will be expected to be completed weekly. Please let your child ask questions and take their time with their homework. They need to be completing all homework independently with a parent overseeing their work, especially with writing assignments. Homework will begin in September.

Arrival and Dismissal Arrival: First Bell 7:40AM Kinder students will be escorted to the cafeteria by a school monitor. Please be prompt as your child will be considered tardy at 7:48am, and may miss breakfast. Dismissal: 2:30 pm. It is VERY important that we get ALL students seated and they will raise their hand when they see you. The teacher will dismiss as soon as possible please be patient and do not pull your child out of the line. If someone else will be picking up your child please make sure to inform the teacher. They will need to present ID. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but it is for our students’ protection which is our main concern. PLEASE do not be late. If your child has to leave early they must be signed out in the office. Please keep the authorization for pick-up records updated in the office

Uniforms All Kinder students need to wear a Golden rod polo shirt and navy/kaki bottoms. Uniform bottoms for boys – khaki/tan or navy uniform style pants or shorts Uniform for girls – khaki/tan or navy uniform style pants, shorts, skirts, or jumpers in the appropriate length for school Dress code will be enforced, so please make sure you know the dress code guidelines.

Please talk to him/her regarding their behavior. Please sign agenda daily Students’ must bring their folder back every day

School Information Forms There will be many forms that the school will ask you to fill out and return. It is very important that you do this as soon as you possibly can. These must be filled out and placed in your child’s agenda.
