Ms. Christensen’s Rules

Rewards A. Praise! B. P.A.T. time with rewards. C. Good phone call home. D. Mystery Motivator ~ competitions and prizes.

Rewards P.A.T. Preferred Activity Time. Three minutes each day. At the end of the week we will do a preferred activity.

Rewards To keep your three minutes: When the tardy bells rings it is immediately SILENT. Raise your hand to speak. On task. *Passing up papers.

Rewards Supplies: +1:00 timed. Come into class, sit down. Read the board. Get all your supplies out first. Clear your desk. Do the warm up.

Rewards -1:00 Talking after the tardy bell. Each time a student blurts out. Off task. Packing up early. Inappropriate comments.

Rewards Bonus: +1:00 Acts of Kindness in class/hallway. No fake outs. Trivia. Using Word of the Week.

Rewards Time is added up on Thursday after school. All classes will get PAT. The class with the most time goes on “Champions” list. The most champs at end of the quarter = PARTY! Champs: 1, 3, 6, 6, 1, 3, 3,6 ,6

Consequences A. Do what is right, choose wisely. B. Warning, name in log. C. Lunch detention. D. Phone call home, team meeting. E. Referral, serious offenses= immediate referral. *P/A/C or seating change anytime. (Parent Administration Counselor)

Follow Directions A. Be silent while the teacher is talking. B. Listen. C. Complete all assignments. D. Ask permission to leave your seat. E. Do not throw things, place trash in trash can on your way out.

Don’t talk without permission A. I will dismiss you. B. Cooperate with teacher and other students. C. Raise your hand to speak. D. Don’t shout out. E. Enter the classroom quietly.

Be seated and quiet before the tardy bell A. Sit in your seat. B. Get out your warm-ups. C. Look to the board and projector for directions. D. You are responsible to bring materials every day. E. No colored ink. Blue or black ink only, or pencil.

Have pencil, paper, agenda, and reading book every day A. During projects Ms. C. will NOT provide glue, sharpies, or scissors. B. You will NOT be given pencil, paper, or sharpies by Ms. C. C. Binders stay under your desk until pre- dismissal, don’t stop working early. D. Heading= name (first and last), date, period, and assignment. E. Leaders start the class.

Respect others! No put downs! A. It will be silent in here at the tardy bell. B. No backpacks, no packing up early. C. Sharpen pencils before class. D. Be nice and be kind.

All school rules apply, Also… A. Dress code. B. No gum. C. Tardies are enforced. D. You must be in your seat when the bell rings, not racing to your seat. E. No leaving the classroom unless you have your agenda and a pass, you fill them out before I sign them.

All school rules apply, also… A. Assignments are due on time. One day late= ___% After the cut off date= 0 (no credit) Assignments are late if turned in after we pass them up. This includes at the end of period or day= all late. Late work takes Ms. C. five times more effort to grade. It is always the last thing I grade.

All school rules apply, also… B. Absent? Check the board, look up date you were absent, fill in your agenda, see me before or after school, at lunch, in the hall, etc. C. You are responsible for make-up work and communicating with the teacher. Hey, I’ll listen to you every time.

Take Ownership DO NOT PUT YOUR STRESS ON MS. C. Ms. C. is not your parent, and will not solve the problem for you after you choose not to do the work. Tell Ms. C. only good news. I’m done. OWN YOUR CHOICES. Excuse: My printer broke. Take ownership: I will turn it in to you tomorrow. Excuse: I don’t have a computer. Take ownership: I will type it in the library at lunch. Excuse: My family was really busy.

TIME After Break: _____ Get quiet, be in your seat and getting started. After Lunch: ______ Get quiet, be in your seat and getting started. Last class of the day: ______ Woosh, everyone stand up, not matter what and pick up trash and trash it. Then pack up time.
