People have more choice and control over their own lives and the care they receive Providing support to allow people to live at home or homely setting for as long as possible Opportunity arose from Strategic Local Programme , submission to SG by Sept 2012 with builds to be completed by March 2015 High quality new build affordable housing making and more efficient use of public resources Total of £6.277m allocated £3.877 was for local programme initiative Witch Road identified from 7 sites initially. Council strategic priority to promote town centre living Originally designed as 14 General Needs flats, the brief was changed to 13 Assisted Living flats incorporating a staff base (modelled on Patrick Finn Court in Cumnock) In Sept 2012 site identified for adults with complex needs and was a key priority within the transformation strategy Opportunity with resource transfer, number of residents living at home but with high cost care packages. Provide example, i.e. £250k per year to support people in their own home with 24 hour care. Unsustainable costs for future Empowering Supportive Seamless Inclusive
