The Profile … These resilient people managed to become an influential community in India. Today, many of them are prominent in the areas of business, education, medicine, finance, technology, engineering, manufacturing, entertainment, and the armed forces. The Aroras are divided into three religions (Hinduism, Islam and Sikhism), yet they are open to visiting the sacred places of other religious communities. They are noted for their religious tolerance, yet very few have embraced Christ as the only way to salvation. Prayer … The Arora people have been violently persecuted in the past. Pray that they would be receptive to missionaries who penetrate their area. Pray that God will raise up Arora believers as His ambassadors to those without Christ throughout the subcontinent. Pray that prominent Arora from all three religious communities will find Jesus to be the only way to eternal life. Pray for pioneers who would have a heart for the Arora people, who would be willing to go forth and penetrate India. Pray that the Holy Spirit would instill in them a need for saving knowledge of the Gospel.
