Document number: 26 January 2005 Page 1of 2 Purpose of procedure: To ensure that an officially recognized campus wishing to offer an approved qualification complies with TUT and the HEQC minimum standards for qualification offering. Scope of procedure: The procedure includes all the activities to obtain approval to offer or migrate an approved qualification at or to another officially recognized TUT campus. Definitions: Approved qualification: Any qualification that is part of the official Programme and Qualification Mix of Tshwane University of Technology as recorded in Report 151. Officially Recognized Campus: A campus of TUT that is recognized by the DOE and the HEQC as a site where teaching and learning is offered. Programme review refers to internal quality assurance procedures to satisfy TUT and the HEQC minimum standards of qualification provision or to demonstrate the potential to do so. Programme review report Business Plan Faculty/ Campus QP Evaluation Report QP The programme review report and the business plan, in the appropriate formats, are forwarded to Quality Promotion for evaluation. Quality Promotion in consultation with the campus and/or faculty conducts a site visit to verify the contents of the programme review report.
