5 Scope of Work Criterion 7: Administration of all academic programmes in the context of effective programme management system Criterion 8: Clear and efficient systems and procedures for the design and approval of new programmes, courses and modules Criterion 9: Recruitment, selection, development and support policies and procedures, facilitate the availability of suitably qualified and experienced academic and support staff to deliver the programme Criterion 10: Clear and effective systems to evaluate programmes on a regular basis Teaching, Learning & Technology

6 Scope of Work – Self Assessment Procedure
During the TUT self-assessment process, this working group will address the following components: TUT Audit Themes Open Ended Questions Quality Management Audit criteria, evaluative questions, institutional data sources Teaching, Learning & Technology

7 TUT Audit Themes We will determine action steps for the following
Test the validity and authenticity of planning assumptions and strategy Assess the merger integration and equity of academic provisioning across learning sites Alignment of planning, quality and resource allocation Appropriateness of multi-campus management model Quality management of the core focus areas Quality in the restructuring and transformation into a university of technology Teaching, Learning & Technology

8 HEQC Open Ended Questions
Together with addressing the Audit Themes during the assessment process, the following open ended questions will be addressed. What are the unique and distinctive ways in which TUT enriches and adds excellence to the higher education sector and society, nationally, regionally and internationally? What does TUT do to produce a vibrant intellectual culture within the institution and in society at large? In what ways does TUT act as an incubator of new ideas and cutting edge knowledge and technologies within the national system of innovation? What are some of the notable examples in the last three years of institutional success in promoting and enhancing quality? Teaching, Learning & Technology
