Transaction Closing Survey The latest HAR.com Consumer Research Panel survey provides helpful insights into consumer expectations of the real estate transaction, as well as consumer experiences and reactions. Here are some key findings: Consumers are very interested in online access to transaction progress. Overall satisfaction with the closing process is solid, but could be stronger; the likelihood of working with his/her agent again is not as high as desired. Weekly HAR Market Stat Amidst frantic shopping for all the things between turkey and toys, the economy has made a surprising statement, offering big gains over the last six months not seen since mid-2003. As we head into the final stretch of the fourth quarter, mortgage rates remain fairly stable, with the 30-year fixed rate mortgage still hovering below 4 percent. In the Houston region, for the week ending November 23: • New Listings increased 3.5% to 1,747 • Pending Sales increased 31.1% to 1,749 • Closed Sales decreased 4.9% to 1,488
