Parent Portal-Student Grades Parents have access to their child’s grades through the Parent Portal on Infinite Campus.  The log in should be the same as middle school, but, if you have any issues, please see Mrs. Sharon Salyers in the front office.

Scheduling Process The scheduling process for the following school year will begin as early as December with information sessions on different programs and classes that are available.  Students will officially begin filling out the scheduling paperwork in January and it will be finalized with a parent meeting between parent and Homeroom teacher in February.   Students are responsible for meeting deadlines, especially when it comes to applications

CERT Testing A tool that students in grades 9 and 10 will take 3 times each year.  The CERT will communicate to students, parents, and teachers each child’s progress towards meeting benchmark in English, Math, Reading, and Science on the ACT.  This data is used by teachers, parents, students, counselors, and administrators to build and provide the support each child needs to reach his/her goals.   Students could be assigned to different RAP workshops, classes, or tutoring opportunities based on CERT Scores.  

RAP and RAP 2.0 (page 11-12 student agenda) RAP:  RAP occurs every Monday from 10:35-11:10am with the students’ homeroom teacher.  This is a time for all students to acquire important grade level information. RAP 2.0:  RAP 2.0 occurs every Tuesday through Friday.  RAP 2.0 gives each student the opportunity to get additional support where they might need it.  Some students will be assigned by their teachers, counselors, or administrators, and some will have the option to choose where they need to go.  We encourage parents to assist in this process so students are taking advantage of the program.  

ESS Tutoring Opportunities Students are welcome to stay after school at anytime when they feel they need additional help in their classes.  Each Department has a teacher stay for tutoring.  Students must ask their teachers first before staying to find out their availability.   Parents are also encouraged to be in contact with their child’s teachers (email is preferred) if there are any concerns in the class.  

ILP-Individualized Learning Plan ILP – Individual Learning Plan The Individual Learning Plans or ILPs for Kentucky's 6th grade through 12 grade students are changing how student prepare themselves for their future.  The ILP helps users plan their classes to prepare for college and future careers, explore career options, build résumés, document important scholastic and extracurricular achievements and community involvement, view assessment results, set career and life goals and more. The Career Cruising ILP Tool is designed to help students bring together their academic achievements, extracurricular experiences, and career and education exploration activities.

GPA and Academic Honors page 17 student agenda GPA is calculated at the end of any semester that contains a final average. Academic Honors:  GPA between a 3.30 and 3.69 non-weighted GPA for the final grade average of the academic school year. Academic Honors with Distinction:  GPA between a 3.70 and 4.00 non- weighted GPA for the final grade average of the academic year.   Graduation with Honors: please see page 15 in the student agenda (Summa Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, Cum Laude)

High School Credits (page 13 student agenda) 22 Credits to Graduate: 5 credits to be a Sophomore 11 credits to be a Junior 16 credits to be a Senior Most students will graduate with 24 credits, although there are opportunities to earn more through the different District programs (V-School, Homebuilders, Early College, Dual Enrollment, Design School, etc.)

Early Graduation see your guidance counselor for details Students may graduate early if they meet benchmark in all Areas of the ACT and score proficient on EOC exams.  Students must complete an application for Early Graduation with their guidance counselor in order to qualify.
