Grades are used to determine your GPA! No Pass…. No Drive Privilege. Eligibility in Sports, Extracurricular and/or Co-curricular activities College and/or Career Pathways. Placement in honors, advanced placement and dual credit courses. Awards that will be listed on the college application. All grades, courses, and credits earned will be listed on your TRANSCRIPT.

6 Transcript The transcript is a report sent to colleges that reflects every year of high school that you have completed. Failed classes do not disappear and must be repeated. It lists all credits that you have earned, documents completion of your high school requirements for graduation. Provides your class rank (1 out of 399) GPA: grade point average (Unweighted & Weighted) Levels of courses Regular Advanced Placement (AP) Dual Credit/ College Credit

9 Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarships (KEES)
The state of Kentucky rewards students for good grades 2.5 is the GPA you have to earn in a year to receive KEES money 15 is the minimum ACT score to receive additional funds Better grades and higher ACT scores earn you more dollars The funds can be used at any college in Kentucky

10 Early High School Graduation
Montgomery County High School Early Graduation Plan – Introduction The Early Graduation statute and regulation are the result of Senate Bill 61, Senate Bill 97, and 704 KAR 3:305 (2013). Through this legislation, the Kentucky General Assembly provides a pathway to early graduation for students who wish to complete high school in three academic years or less. Students who complete the Early Graduation requirements outlined below may receive their diploma from Montgomery County High School. Additionally, students who graduate in three years or less are also eligible for an Early Graduation Certificate, which they may use immediately following high school graduation when enrolling in a SACS accredited Kentucky two-year or four-year institute of higher education.

11 Early High School graduation
Requirements The requirements for Early Graduation are as follows: Candidates must have been in high school three years or less according to COHORT YEAR, not grade level. Candidates must meet the proficiency benchmarks on Kentucky required end-of- course exams (EOC’s). Those classes are Algebra II, Biology, English II, and United States History. Candidates must meet the Council of Post-Secondary Education’s (CPE) defined college readiness benchmarks on the American College Test (ACT). These benchmarks for the ACT are 18 for English, 20 for Reading, and 19 for Mathematics. ONLY the ACT will fulfill requirements for Early Graduation.
