Make sure you sign and print your name Return it to your science teacher or Ms. Sturgill Failure to do so will result in demerits THIS IS DUE ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!

5 Graduation Requirements
Minimum of 24 credits required 4 credits of English 4 credits of math (must include Algebra and Geometry) 3 credits of science (must include Biology) 3 credits of Social Studies 1 credit of Fine or Practical Art 1 Physical Education (HOPE) 8 electives 1 online course 2 credits for World Language (for Bright Futures and College)

6 Graduation Requirements Must have a 2.0 unweighted cumulative GPA
Regular A = 4 points B = 3 points C = 2 points D = 1 point F = 0 points Weighted Honors, AP, SPC A = 4.5 H , 5 AP B = 3.5 H , 4 AP C = 2.5 H , 3 AP D = 1 point F = 0 points

7 Statewide Assessments
Students MUST participate in: Algebra 1 (if enrolled after ) The EOC constitutes 30% of the final course grade. Biology 1 (if enrolled after ) Geometry (if enrolled after ) U.S. History (if enrolled after ) Students MUST pass Grade 10 ELA or SAT concordant score or ACT concordant score Algebra 1 EOC or a comparative score

8 Credit Recovery & Grade Forgiveness
Any semester or full year course with a D or F is eligible for credit recovery There are various ways to recover your credit: Night School Extended Learning Program (ELP) Florida Virtual School (FLVS) Pinellas Virtus School (PVS)

9 Scholarships & Financial Aid
Bright Futures: This handout is designed for current graduates. Freshmen requirements will not be finalized until August of their senior year. Three types of awards: Florida Academic Scholars (FAS) Florida Medallion Scholars (FMS) Gold Seal Vocational Scholars (GSV) GPA, test scores and community service hours Please sign the Bright Futures verification form Check Guidance page for current scholarships throughout the year
