Common Core Standards

Math Practices : Common Core Mathematical Practices 1. Make sense of problems and persevere in solving them. 2. Reason abstractly and quantitatively. 3. Construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others. 4. Model with mathematics. 5. Use appropriate tools strategically. 6. Attend to precision. 7. Look for and make use of structure. 8. Look for and express regularity in repeated reasoning.

Common Core Format Domains are large groups of related standards. High School Conceptual Category Domain Cluster Standards Clusters are groups of related standards. Standards define what students should be able to understand and be able to do – part of a cluster.

Important School Policies

San Pedro High School Attendance Policy It is extremely important for students to be in class every day. Students are expected to be in school 97% of the time. That means: A maximum of 7 full day absences At the 8th full day absence, FOR ANY REASON, the student’s name will appear on the Non- Participation STOP CLEARENCE LIST.

Dress Code Policy 2017 - 2018 Importance of Dress Code Promote a higher awareness of successful dress. Promote clothing that is associated with non-violence and non- conformity to a gang. Demonstrate a positive direction away from drugs, alcohol, tobacco, racial slurs, sexual harassment.
