To set up your child’s account please do: Go to — students will update their password Student will need the following (which their teacher can provide by going to MyData.lausd.net) District ID Number (found on their ID) Birthdate 4 digit Pin username of student for mymail.lausd.net Log into: passport.lausd.net—Register—user name with updated password

4 Subjects/Grade levels
Applied English– 9-12th grades, year-long required course Practical/Consumer Math- 9-12th grades, year-long required course Practical Science- 9-12th grades, year-long required course Career Exploration- 11th and 12th grade elective Leisure Studies- 9-12th grade elective

5 Syllabus All students will be given a syllabus which includes course description, thematic units and grading policy. Detailed syllabi are also posted on-line at www. sanpedrohs.org on my web page

6 Classroom Expectations
All students are required to uphold LAUSD and SPHS policies of proper dress and behavior. Students will be given a copy of the SPHS Honor Code and Attendance Policy, and will be expected to adhere to these guidelines. In addition, punctuality, preparation, courtesy and respect will of course be expected, and will affect work habits and cooperation grades.

7 Attendance Policy Students will be held accountable to the SPHS attendance policy, and will also be expected to arrive on time to class each day. Class attendance is very important because it is an important step in the learning process as well as a preparation for their future jobs.

8 MATERIALS Required materials:
3-ring binder to leave in class for English stories Paper pencils Please understand that I DO NOT give students pencils and they are required to bring their own or borrow from a classmate. If they cannot find a pencil they cannot complete their assignment and grades will be affected

9 Grading Criteria Grades are given based on a rubric. Each rubric score correlates to a letter grade: 4 = A Students complete task independently or with supports indicated in IEP 3= B Students need minimal support to complete a task or more support than indicated in IEP 2= C Students need maximum support to complete a task or more than previously needed as indicated on IEP 1= D Students refuse to complete a task even with maximum support provided
