Mrs. Starkovich’s Thank you! Please ask for one if you need another Please help me ensure your student follows your transportation wishes with an email to the office at dunhamc@cersd.org and to my email too just in case I am not here on the day of your change . You may also call the office at 649-4703 THANKYOU!!! Reminders We turned in our Sparrow Forms and the children were delighted to help Mr. Soli and his daughter Coral. You can still contribute from home with a Sparrow Form and volunteer time. Also, remember your Grey Wolf Reading and Math forms for January are DUE this week. Our class would love to be recognized as avid readers and turn in the most forms to earn the cookies Thank you! Conference Week February 13th – 17th. Early Dismissal 12:25. PLEASE contact me asap if you need to change your scheduled appointment. Upcoming Events A Peek at Our Week We are learning letter T,t this week. T says /t/ Turtle on the Tightrope t,t,t. The kids were enthralled by our story HONK!. It is the story of a swan that dances ballet. She practices and gets to dance at the opera house. We are applying the theme to ourselves by writing about what we can do. We are using the sentence stem “I can . . .”. It has been enlightening to hear about their talents. Remember to read homework each night Math We learned a new dice game, sum of two dice. You can play at home. It is developing our addition skills and our ability to see quantities quickly. Writing: We are completing an “I can” web as a prewrite and will transfer our ideas into two sentences. Science/Social Studies: We are exploring animals in winter and the tracks that animals make. If your family has any items to enhance our learning please feel free to send them with your student along with any special instructions.  Thank you! We are preparing for conferences and conducting a few assessments. If your student mentions a test, yes, we are interviewing students about their math knowledge Keep practicing Kind Regards, Mrs. Starkovich
