Enjoying Maths in Year 3

What are we learning? Year 3 Maths objectives Number order to 1000 Place value Th, H,T,U Addition and Subtraction of 3 digit numbers, using a written column method Multiplication and related division facts (3x, 4x, 8x) Counting in multiples of 3’s, 4’s, 8’s, 50’s and 100’s over 1000 Money 3D shapes and fractions of shapes and numbers Problem Solving and Investigations-2 step problems How can you help your child at home? Test your child on their times tables and help them to learn. By the end of Year 3, children should know their 2, 3, 4, 5, 8 and 10 times tables and their division facts. You could also get your child to use money in shops to help with mental maths or let them weigh and measure when you are cooking. Year 3 Maths objectives
