Project Overview Second graders have been asked to contribute to a project at New Tech, which involves a published website on current events. Our class has been asked to learn about the moon phases to report to New Tech, so they can have updated information on their website each week. We will continue our study of animals after we complete the “moon project.”

Science: Sun, Moon, and Seasons Skills and Standards 2.1.6- Read aloud fluently and accurately 2.2.6- recognize cause and effect Reading Science: Sun, Moon, and Seasons Materials Needed Science Books Comprehension Activities Pencils Noise Level 1 Monday You will need a reading partner and a science book. First, with your partner, open to Chapter 7, Lesson 1 and read Day and Night on pages D4-D9. Then complete the comprehension activity. Tuesday Today, with your partner read Lesson 2: Seasons on pages D10-D17. Complete the comprehension activity. Wednesday Read Chapter 8, Lesson 3: The Moon and complete the comprehension activity.
