2 Project Overview Students will be introduced to their 3 rd project of the year this week from our CSA 5 th Graders. The project will be connected to Camp Atterbury and Veteran’s Day. Students will also be learning about leaders in our community. If you believe you have a connection to this project, please let us know!

3 Noise Level 1 1.Listen to Leaders read task list. 2.Gather all materials. 3.Open to page 70 in your Treasures book. Discuss the Talk About It. 4.Taking turns with your group members, read aloud Firefighters at Work with your group. The last page is 79. 5.When you have finished the story, work together complete the comprehension activities with your group. 6.Turn the papers into the Turn In File with your name on the top. 4 Writing “Leadership” Noise Level 1 1.Get a graphic organizer 2.In your own words, what is a leader? 3.Then, give 3 examples of people you believe are leaders in our community. 4.Provide supporting details about what makes each of your chosen people a leader on the graphic organizer. 5.When the organizer is complete, type your information in a paragraph about leaders. 5 Self-Selected Reading / Accelerated Reader Noise Level 0 1.Choose a library book or a book of choice that you have not read. 2.Be sure you picked a book that you can read alone. 3.Silently read. 4.After you finish your book, write the name of the book in your Data Binder. 5.Be sure to fill in the information about your book in your binder. 6.If you can answer all the questions in your Data Binder, get your laptop and log on to AR to take your test. 7.Record your AR score in your Data Binder..
