PILLOWCASE EMBROIDERY MACHINE

FOLD PILLOWCASE IN HALF & PIN Put a pin through the top layer only F old in half to find center of band/cuff

DECIDING ON “A” OR “B” HOOP “A” hoop= up to 8 letters medium font “B” hoop= over 8 letters or more than 1 line

PLACING HOOP ON FABRIC Make sure the black knob is to the left when using the “B” hoop Black knob should be towards the top of the cuff when using the “A” hoop

LINING PIN TO MIDDLE DOT Line the pin to the middle dot of the hoop Place top part of the hoop with the grooves facing upward onto your cuff. Push to secure the hoop in place.

ADJUSTMENTS Loosen or tighten the screw if needed so it has a snug fit. Make sure there is a small amount of fabric hanging over the hoop.

PLACING PLASTIC GRID Place plastic grid onto the hoop to make sure the dark, bolded black line is straight and even with the middle pin & the cuff line is straight. Make adjustments if needed.

THREADING Choose the color of embroidery thread you would like. Place spool of thread with small end facing to the left and stopper is in place (see picture). Make sure the thread is around the white tension guide NOT the silver bobbin guide. Make sure there is enough thread in the bobbin. DO NOT take the bobbin out. See teacher if it’s low.

PLACING HOOP ON EMBROIDERY MACHINE Place hoop on top of the back arm making sure that grooves are aligned. Turn black knob to the right so that it locks in place.

CHANGING HOOP SIZE If using “B” hoop press “Edit” and select “B” and press “Okay” If you are using the “A” hoop you DO NOT need to do this.

FONT & SIZE The embroidery machine automatically has it set to medium size & Gothic font. Press “A-Z” then press “Font” to change the style. (See board for size & font examples) Press “LMS” to change the font size to large or small if you want to change it from medium font size.

ENTERING IN LETTERS Capital letters. To make lower case press it again. Space button (under the “t”) If you make a mistake press the back arrow and garbage can Once you are done press “OK”

CENTER LETTERS ON BAND/CUFF PART 1 It will say read to sew but you still have 1 more step! Press “Edit” to center the letters on the grid Press arrow

CENTER LETTERS ON CUFF/BAND PART 2 “B” hoop users only: press “45” arrows twice to change the angle of the letters. The squares on the plastic grid aligns to the grid on the embroidery machine. Use arrows to adjust. Press “OK” when done

STARTING TO STITCH Hold top thread off to the side. Lower presser foot and press the “Start/Stop” button.

TRIMMING THREAD & STITCHING TIME Press the “Start/Stop” button to stop the machine after a few stitches and trim thread next to the stitch. Then press “Start/Stop” again. See screen for stitching time

RETURNING ARM Press the “Mode” button Press the arm placement button to return it to it’s home

TAKING HOOP OFF MACHINE Turn black knob to the left (making it horizontal). Lift presser foot up and slowly take hoop off of the machine.

TRIM THREADS & RETURN HOOP Trim threads. DO NOT trim next to the needle. Pop off the hoop and make sure both pieces are together. Then return it to it’s home

TRIMMING THREADS & STABILIZER Trim threads with small scissors next to your letters. Trim stabilizer next to your letters

WOOHOOO YOU ARE DONE
