10. Toggle to Embroidery Mode

11. Touch the My Hoops icon
From the drop down menu, choose 360x200

12. Select Basic Design Appliqué

13. From the Shape Menu, we will work with the default shape – the circle

14. To turn the circle shape into an oval,
Unlock the proportions by touching the Lock in the center of the wheel

15. Drag on the screen to change your square into a rectangle
Fine tune the size with the sizing arrows
Size to x 50.0
Close the Basic Design Appliqué window by touching OK

16. Select Mirror End-to-End
By selecting Mirror End to End the stitching will start at the top of the hoop making it easier to position our appliqué fabrics.

17. Touch the Stitch Menu icon
Select Menu B

18. Select stitch 13
Touch OK

19. Touch the Scale icon
Touch the Lock icon in the center of the wheel
Scale the eyelet as large as it will go, which is 20%

20. Select the Preferences icon
Select Grid
Select the Move icon

21. Notice the grid line is running vertically in the center
Move the eyelet to the top and center it, using the grid lines
Touch the GO to enter the Embroidery Stitch Out screen

22. Color 1 is the fabric placement line
Color 2 stitches the applique fabric in place
* Trim fabric after Color 2
Color 3 is the satin stitch
Color 4 is the eyelet

23. Stitch Color 1 on stabilizer only
Slide the vinyl fabric, right side down, under the stabilizer. Make sure it extends past all of the placement lines
Place the orange cotton fabric, right side up, on top of the stabilizer. Make sure it extends past all of the placement lines
Stitch Color 2

24. Remove hoop and trim both top and bottom fabric close to the stitching lines
Re-attach hoop
Stitch Color 3
Stitch Color 4
Touch OK to close the Embroidery Finished window

25. Select Color 4 in the Color Block List
Stitch Color 4 again to reinforce the eyelet
Remove fabric from the hoop – do not remove the stabilizer from the fabric yet
Touch the Return to Embroidery Edit icon

26. Touch and Hold the Delete icon to clear the screen
Please pass your embroidery hoops to the left so our assistants can gather them
Assistants can rehoop the hoops for the next class

27. Toggle to sewing mode
Assistants can rehoop the hoops for the next class

28. Select PROG to enter Programming mode

29. Select Stitch Menu icon
From the drop down menu, choose Dimensional Stitches Menu Y
Select stitch 5

30. Touch stitch 5 three times to program four repeats.
Select the Selective Thread Cutter from the function buttons on the left side of the machine to program a stop and cut
Touch OK to close out of programming

31. Remove the Sensor Q foot
Attach the ankle and the S foot
Touch the Info icon
to see instructions for sewing Dimensional stitches

32. Activate the Needle Down
from the Function Buttons on the left side of machine
Position the bookmark so the needle is positioned just below the eyelet
Use the Start/Stop
button to sew
Using the start/stop will eliminate the possibility of stopping before you should and then getting confused!!

33. When the machine stops, place the small square of fabric behind the needle. Continue sewing and adding the appliqué fabric each time the machine stops, until all four hearts have stitched
Snug the fabric right up against the needle.

34. Tear stabilizer away
Trim the Dimensional Appliqué stitches close to the stitching
Use eyelet cutter or point of scissors to make hole in eyelet
Use stylus to push ribbon thru the hole. Tie
ENJOY!!!!!!

Remove S Foot and place back into the accessory tray
