 Club selects Rookie & Toastmaster OTY  Club submits nomination form and supporting documents to Area Director by June 15.  Forms on D42 website  Resources Forms Of-the-year  Benefits for the club members  Celebrating success  Recognizes enthusiasm & dedication  Example to all  Fulfills commitment OF-THE-YEAR Awards – Inform Clubs

 Committee – no less than 3 members  Past Area Directors  Members from other areas  Committee members sign submission going forward to Division  Use information from club and other resources to make decision  Submit to Division Director before July 7  Area also selects Public Relations Award(s) to advance to Division OF-THE-YEAR Awards – Area Selection

 From areas within the Division, select a winner  Toastmaster  Rookie  Best Public Relations Award  Area Director of the Year ** ask for reference & testimonials from clubs  Base on information provided by Area Director, personal knowledge, additional information OF-THE-YEAR Awards – Division Selection

 Immediate Past District Director sends forms to past VP Ed and current club president for all qualifying clubs by Aug 15  Supporting documents submitted by clubs to Division Director no later than Sept 15  Includes Club Success Plan  NO DECISIONS made at Area level for President-of-the Year President OF-THE-YEAR

 Area Director is the Chair  Hold at least 2 Area Council Meetings per year  Suggestion – plan to hold area council immediately following the area contest  Can use GoToMeeting (contact Catherine Secundiak to schedule)  Provide copy of minutes/notes to Division Director Area Council Meetings

 Upcoming special events (anniversary, open house, year-end celebration)  Progress to reach Distinguished  Assistance needed for membership building and/or club coach  Future leaders  Discussion of area visit report  Attendance at April 30 Business Meeting & Convention (club represented) Area Council Meetings – Agenda Topics
