Senate Bill 1642 –Accountability Revisions RECAP Schools only graded on components with data (minimum of 10 students) Report all school grade components as percentages, worth a maximum of 100 points Report A-F grades based on percentage of points earned (e.g., 70%, 80%) Revised Acceleration and Learning Gains FY2015 Grades did NOT include Learning Gains FY2016 Grades DID INCLUDE Learning Gains

Percentages of total points needed: 62% and above= A 61% - 54%= B 53% - 41%= C 40% - 32%= D 31% and below= F K-5 (6) = 700 points K-8 = 900 points 6-8 = 900 points 9-12 = 1000 points

Keys to Remember English Language Arts Includes Writing Includes Grades 3-10 ELL students included after 2 years* No Participation component for Acceleration (MS, HS) No more At-Risk or 5-year Graduation Component School Grade based on percentage of total points earned No extra weighting or school grade penalties Report grades for ALL levels at the same time *Florida Law, but ESEA waiver requires inclusion after 1 year

Keys to Remember Your school grade is not only a reflection of your school but Palm Beach County as a whole, you are included in the district’s grade. Schools that receive a D or F rating will not receive Capital Outlay monies. Statute requires satisfactory student achievement. New as of July 1, 2016, a second consecutive F is IMMEDIATE termination.
