The California Court Association (CCA) was formed in 1952 with an initial membership of 135 people. In 2016, CCA's membership has grown to over 3,000 individuals. Regular membership is open to all employees of California courts. Associate Membership is open to any person employed by a court- related agency. Any regular member who retired from his or her position in a California court may continue membership as a retired member. The primary purpose of the organization is to provide information and education. Each year CCA hosts training days, a New Law Workshop, and an annual convention which provides opportunities to share and learn from other courts throughout the state. In addition, CCA annually creates a court directory and fee schedule, as well as procedure manuals for various types of court case types.
