What is Reflector? Reflector is an airplay mirror software. This means it takes the image from your iPad and displays it on your computer screen. It is installed on your computer, and there is no need to download an app or any software on your iPad, iPhone, iPod, etc.

To start using Reflector… 1.Turn Reflector on (Laptop) by going to “Start”, “All Programs” and clicking “Reflector” 2.On the iPad, press the “home” button twice (with iOS 7, slide your finger from the bottom of the screen up) 3.Notice the horizontal menu that appears on the bottom of your screen 4.Slide your finger across the menu until you see the AirPlay icon 5.Press this icon 6.Select your laptop number

WARNING!!! The laptop number is located on the bottom of your laptop beneath the Goddard USD 265 barcode sticker Please select only your laptop number!!

To Start Using Reflector… (cont.) 6.Once you select your number, you will see an On/Off slide. Slide it to “on”. 7.Voila!! Your iPad should be mirrored on your computer screen. 8.To turn Reflector off, click the “home” button twice, select the AirPlay icon, and choose “iPad”.

Features: Automatically tilts the screen when you tilt the iPad Automatically runs sound through your speaker system You can take your iPad to any classroom (as long as the computer in that room has the Reflector software).

Popular Questions… Why won’t Reflector work on the student iPads? It will!! The key to making the software work is that both the laptop and the iPad must be logged onto the same network. In order for it to work on the student iPads, the teacher laptop must be logged onto the guest server/BYOD.

Popular Questions Uh oh, why is someone’s iPad taking over my computer screen while I’m trying to type my lesson plans? Oops, another user has chosen your laptop number instead of her/his own.
