OFFENSE: When you are playing offense, your goal is to set up a play to score on your opponent. You do this by serving, bumping, setting, and spiking the ball to the other side. DEFENSE: When you are playing defense, your goal is to be prepared for the attack from the offensive team. You do this by keeping your hands ready to hit the ball when your team receives it.

BUMP SET SPIKE SERVE DIG

YOU CAN ONLY HIT THE BALL 3 TIMES DURING YOUR OFFENSIVE AND DEFENSIVE TURNS. YOU MUST ROLL THE BALL UNDER THE NET WHEN GIVING IT TO THE OTHER TEAM TO SERVE. YOU MUST HIT THE BALL CORRECTLY, MAKING SURE TO NOT CARRY THE BALL. YOU MUST NOT FALL INTO THE NET DURING PLAY.

OFFENSE: You are encouraged to hit the ball three times. This is done by setting up a play. The most effective method is to bump the ball, set the ball, and spike the ball. DEFENSE: When playing defense never take your eyes off of the ball. Have your hands ready to retrieve the ball no matter how it is hit to you. Always keep your knees bent so you are ready to run for the ball and move towards it. Also, be ready to bump, set, and spike the ball.

THE GIRLS HAD 31 SERVES DURING THEIR GAMES. THEY GAVE UP 10 POINTS BY NOT GETTING THE BALL OVER THE NET DURING THEIR SERVES. THAT IS ALMOST HALF A GAMES TOTAL POINTS (25 TOTAL)

IF THE DEFENSIVE TEAM ALLOWS THE BALL TO HIT THE FLOOR ON THEIR SIDE, THE OFFENSIVE TEAM IS REWARDED 1 POINT. IF A SERVE IS NOT COMPLETED, A POINT IS REWARDED TO THE OTHER TEAM. IF YOU BREAK A RULE, THE OTHER TEAM IS REWARDED 1 POINT. YOU MUST WIN BY 2 POINTS. IF THE SCORE IS YOU MUST WIN BY 2 EVEN THOUGH 25 IS THE WINNING NUMBER.
