What is anger?

What is anger? It is a FEELING, not an action. It comes from other feelings like sadness or frustration. It is not good nor bad. We all feel angry at times. When it’s managed, it can help us do some positive things. Focus Try harder Motivation to prove people wrong

What is an anger trigger? Something that causes you to be angry External triggers Things done to us – lying or putting you down Internal triggers Messages we give ourselves – self-talk, based on assumptions or incorrect information

What are signs that you are getting angry?

Body – fast heart beat, sweating, shaking, clenched jaw/fists, headache, stomache ache, tense muscles, hot or red face Mind – can’t concentrate, confusion, memory problems, thoughts of doing harm, angry thoughts, irritability Behavior – difficult to sit still, withdrawing from others, throwing things, pacing, yelling
