Teenage Love

Description of Theme Teenage Love: Teenage love is falling in love at a young age, possibly for the first time but not the last, when you think about someone and no one else in your spare time. Sometimes it is saying “I love you" not because you mean it, but because you know its what you should say. And giving people second chances even when you normally wouldn’t. Teenage love is saying forever, and wanting it to be true, but knowing it won't be. Teenage love is thinking you are completely in love with someone, but not knowing what it really means yet.

Teenage Love in Romeo and Juliet They’re are many examples of teenage love in Romeo and Juliet, an example is when Romeo thinks he is in love with Rosaline. He becomes attached to her, and thinks he is hopelessly in love with her. Thinking the world is nothing without her and will end if she doesn't love him back. He becomes depressed because she doesn’t feel the same way. But at this age he doesn't really know what love is at this point.

Teenage Love in Romeo and Juliet Another example of teenage love in Romeo and Juliet is when their eyes meet for the first time. Immediately they are drawn to each other, the “stars align” and think they are meant for each other.

Teenage Love in Romeo and Juliet The last example of teenage love in Romeo and Juliet is when they think they are ready for marriage. After just a short time of meeting each other they think they should be together forever. Not waiting to tell anyone or listen to anyone else’s advice.

Description of Research Question “What kind of impact does teenage love have on us today?” Being in love as a teenager can impact people’s lives. The effects can be from revenge to stalking and abusing. The definition of love can differ but the same emotions are always there.

Description of Research Topic Nature of Revenge Many people seek revenge after a heart break, leading to possibilities of stalking, bullying and abuse. Teenagers can get very jealous easily from insecurities and low self-esteem. Because of these reasons teenagers are never really kind to one another.

Research Slides Definition of stalking, which can be a form of revenge to scare someone. It's common with ex's, or relationships that didn't end well. Possibly from abuse in a relationship, physical or emotionally. In Romeo and Juliet, Romeo stalks Rosaline because she doesn't feel the same way about him.

Research Slide Abuse: Statistics prove that five children a day die from a form of abuse. The abuse can be a form of revenge or just being cruel. “The abuse can include being hit and beaten or other forms, such as being kicked and otherwise physically assaulted, scalded, burned and held underwater."

Research Slide Bullying can be verbal, creating a bad environment in schools, public places or any home. Bullying can be about many things from jealousy to racism and is intended to cause emotional or physical harm to the victim.

Research Slide Forms of abuse, stalking and bullying: "It is generally defined as the intentional, repeated following of a person for the purpose of harassing the person with express or implied threats of violence or death."

Romeo and Juliet Relation In Romeo and Juliet the fight between the Montague's and the Capulet's is a constant battle of rivalry. Constantly trying to kill and threaten one another, following each other and trying to figure everything out between the families. Romeo tries to stalk Rosaline the 'love of his life' at the time, because she didn't love him back the way that he loved her. Overall in Romeo and Juliet there is stalking going on between the families and relationships between characters.

Romeo and Juliet Relation Tybalt saw Romeo at the party. He threatened Romeo saying he will kill him later on. Romeo kills Tybalt. He killed him because Tybalt killed Mercurio that is an example of revenge "Boy, this shall not excuse the injuries that thou hast done me; therefore turn and draw." Tybalt
