Change Font: Size, Type, Color Size: –On the top toolbar, click on the arrow next to the number in a white box (not the percentage) and scroll to the desired size. Type: –On the top toolbar, click on the arrow next to the font type (Example: Arial, Times New Roman) and choose your desired text. Color: –On the top toolbar, click on the arrow next to the capital A with a dark colored bar under it. Then choose one of the color option listed or click on More Colors to the color of the and choose your desired text. To change the size/type/color of text that you have already typed: select desired text (left click and drag over text), then follow the above directions.

New Slide or Duplicate Slide New Slide: –Click on Insert –Scroll down to New Slide and click. Duplicate Slide: –Click on Insert –Scroll down to Duplicate Slide to add a copy of the current slide you have open.

Slide Background Theme 1.Go to Format 2.Click on Slide Design 3.Design Templates (Background Themes) will load to the right hand side. 4.Select the Theme that you want as your background.

Change the slide background 1.On the Format menu, click Background. 2.Under Background fill, click the arrow below the image, and then do one of the following: – Select a color from the color scheme 1.Click one of the eight colors displayed. – Select a color outside the color scheme 1.Click More Colors. 2.Click the color you want on the Standard tab, or click the Custom tab to mix your own color, and then click OK. 3.Do one of the following: –If you want to apply the background to selected slides, click Apply. –If you want to apply the background to all slides, click Apply to All.

Adding transitions between slides Add the same transition to all slides in a slide show presentation 1.On the Slide Show menu, click Slide Transition. 2.In the list, click the transition effect you want. 3.Click Apply to All Slides. Add different transitions between slides –Repeat the following process for each slide you want to add a different transition to. 1.On the Slides tab in normal view, select the slides you want to add a transition to. 2.On the Slide Show menu, click Slide Transition. 3.In the list, click the transition effect you want.

Adding Custom Animations You can control how text/graphics appear by adding custom animations. 1.In normal view, display the slide that has the text or objects you want to animate. 2.Select the object you want to animate. 3.On the Slide Show menu, click Custom Animation. 4.In the Custom Animation task pane, click Add Effect, and do one or more of the following: –If you want to make the text or object enter the slide show presentation with an effect, point to Entrance and then click an effect. –If you want to add an effect to text or an object that is on the slide, point to Emphasis and then click an effect. –If you want to add an effect to text or an object that makes it leave the slide at some point, point to Exit and then click an effect. –If you want to add an effect that makes an object move in a specified pattern, point to Motion Paths and then click an effect. Note The effects appear in the Custom Animation list, top to bottom, in the order you apply them. The animated items are noted on the slide by a non-printing numbered tag that correlates to the effects in the list. This tag does not show up in the slide show view.

Adding clip art 1.Click on the red person in a white box or the person in blue to add Clip Art. 2.Type in the type of picture you are looking for into the search bar of the Select Picture box that appears. Click Go to start your search. 3.Click on a picture to select the clip art. 4.Click on OK to add the clip art to your slide. To resize the picture 1.Move your mouse over one of the white dots until you see a double sided arrow. Up and down arrows will resize the height Left and right arrows will resize the width Diagonal arrows will resize both the height and width 2.Click and drag your picture to the size you want

To add a picture from the internet 1.On the Google homepage ( select Images from the top left hand corner. 2.Type in the picture you are searching for and click Google Search to bring up a selection of pictures. 3.Select a picture by clicking on the thumbnail picture (a smaller sized picture). 4.Click on the blue link on the top left that says See Full Sized Image. 5.Right click on the picture and select Copy Image 6.Go to your Power Point Presentation and under the Edit menu, select Paste. 7.Resize and move the picture where you want it on the slide.

Add a Hyperlink to a Website Click on Insert and scroll down to the Hyperlink tab and click. Type in the website address into the Address box. Click OK
