6 1.Go to Design tab 2.Select Theme of your choice 3.Click on Colors 4.Choose combination of colors or select Create New Theme Colors to make your own  Background (also found under Design tab) offers a variety of variations from dark to light backgrounds that will be applied to all slides. 1.Click on drop box and select background option to insert change. Do not dismiss a theme or design because the color scheme does not fit your preference.

10 Insert a Photo using Insert and Picture File 1.If uploading an image that is already saved to your computer, go to Insert tab. 2.Select Picture. 3.View pictures in saved file and select image of your choice and select insert. 4.Image can be moved or resized by selecting image and dragging to its appropriate position. 1.Find image using internet search. 2. Right click on image. 3.Select Copy. 4.Maximize PowerPoint, and select slide you wish to insert photo. 5. Right click on slide, and select Paste. 6.Drag to reposition photo. Copy & Paste

13 Use a Photo as a slide Background 1.Right click on selected slide. 2.Select Format Background. 3.Select Picture or Text Fill. 4.Select Insert picture from file. 5.Locate photo in file and select.  Photo may also be applied to all slides

14 1.Open up window or article you would like to clip. 2.Go to Insert tab in PowerPoint. 3.In the Images pane, select Screenshot, then Screen Clipping (PowerPoint will now automatically minimize and a + symbol will appear on website screen). 4.Drag screenshot icon to fill desired crop and release.

15 Inserting Transitions  A transition is an effect used to introduce a slide. A transition occurs between each slide. 1.On the slide show menu, click Transitions. 2.In Effect Options, select the transition you want. 3.To apply Transition to all slides, click Apply To All. 4.Duration and Sound can be applied, decreased, or increased by adjusting arrows up and down.

16 Inserting Animations The animation effect changes the entry of text or an object. 1.Select object, text, or text box you want to animate. 2.On the Slide Show menu, click Animations. 3.Click the animation effect you want. 4.Animations can be set to fly in from top, bottom, left, right, etc. by click on Effect Options and choosing specific direction. 5.To see changes made, or to edit changes, click on Animation Pane. 6.If you wish to delete an animation, Right Click on animation in Pane, and then select Remove.
