Fully risk assessed Over 50 years experience PGL provides a wide range of top quality residential adventure and educational courses for more than 4,500 groups every year All PGL centres and activities are risk assessed to comply with legal requirements and best practice. Risk assessments are available by request and on the PGL website Centres are subject to the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority regulations (AALA) where appropriate ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents) bonded means your money is protected BAHA – British Activity Holiday Association. Responsible for establishing operating guidelines for the activity holiday industry.

Individual as well as team challenges Activities designed to encourage new skills and develop existing ones. Activities vary according to centre. This list is a sample.

Staffing BRJS staff: Three members of staff will be involved (dependent on pupil numbers). Individual staff members will have responsibility over their activity group and will be participating in all the activities with the children Activity groups will be determined by BRJS staff

PGL will generally be allocated to one specific activity group during the week There is always at least one member of PGL on night duty for any emergencies The doors of BRJS staff will be clearly labelled so that the children will know where individual staff are if they need any thing (within reason!) during the night

Caythorpe Court Accommodation En suite rooms sleep 4-8 The Fens are purpose built wooden lodges with en suite rooms sleeping 4-6. The Vales comprise en suite rooms sleeping 4, 6 or 8 The Wolds comprise en suite rooms sleeping 4 - 8 Tents are spaciously sited and sleep 4 - 6 on frame mattresses. Toilets and showers are close by.

Accommodation All accommodation is situated within the Court’s self contained grounds which are set well away from any main roads/public access Children are allocated rooms prior to the trip. They can choose one friend and then staff will make the decision for the rest of the dorm based on a number of factors. Children will be placed in groups ranging from 4-8 depending on the rooms that are available to us

Rooms are self contained units with bunk beds and en-suite bath rooms Children will be expected to keep it clean and tidy at all times. All rooms will be inspected regularly by a member of staff and points awarded for tidiness and good housekeeping. A prize is awarded at the end of the week Security-there are combination locks to all the main buildings and windows have intruder restraints on them Smoke detectors and fire alarms are situated in every room Once the children are in their rooms after their evening drink they are in for the night until breakfast, unless of course there is an emergency

Catering & dietary needs 3 nutritious, balanced meals per day Vegetarian option Salad bar Special diets catered for by prior arrangement Continual investment in healthy menus Fresh ingredients fully traceable to audited suppliers Freshly cooked Processed food avoided Meals meet Local Authority guidelines Caterers can deal with most dietary requirements but please ensure the party leader is aware of any dietary requirements well in advance.

Emergency contact Parents fill in emergency contact forms prior to the visit so that BRJS staff can contact you from the centre If we are unable to contact you directly then we will ring school so that Mr Briffet can contact you If you need to contact your child in an EMERGENCY then please contact BRJS during the day. Children will not be allowed to take mobiles/ electronic equipment as they may get lost/stolen. However cameras are permitted

Children will not be allowed to use the telephone whilst at Caythorpe BRJS staff will be phoning school with a daily update which will be sent via text and on the website. If they wish, children can send a postcard during the week to update you of their week so far

Prior Arrangements Dates: 31.10.16 - 04.11.16 Cost: Approx £255 Forms: Emergency Contacts, Medical Details (travel sickness) and Dietary Requirements Behaviour: Parents will be asked to collect your child from Caythorpe if their behaviour is unacceptable. There will be no refunds.
