Definition Facebook is a popular free social networking website that allows registered users to create profiles, upload photos and video, send messages and keep in contact with friends, family and colleagues. The site, which is available in 37 different languages, includes public features such as: Marketplace - allows members to post, read and respond to classified ads. Groups - allows members who have common interests to find each other and interact. Events - allows members to publicize an event, invite guests and track who plans to attend. Pages - allows members to create and promote a public page built around a specific topic. Presence technology - allows members to see which contacts are online and chat.

History Facebook was created in 2004 by Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg. The website was intended to be an online version of the University's printed Facebook, a directory of new students. At that time, membership to the website was limited to Harvard students only. In a month's time, Facebook grew to include other Ivy League students as well, and within a year had over 1 million users. By the end of 2005, Facebook expanded to include, first, a network of 800 colleges and universities, then high schools, and then international students. In time for the fall semester of 2006, Facebook began accepting membership of anyone over the age of 13. According to Facebook's Press Room, the social networking site currently has over 1 billion of active users. Facebook is a privately owned company headquartered in Palo Alto, California. Mark Zuckerberg, age 24 and a Harvard drop-out, is ranked 785 in Forbes Magazine's list of the world's billionaires, with a net worth of approximately $1.5 billion.

Evolution of Facebook Facebook has evolved in design and quality, popularity and speed.

5 Problems That brings you Facebook 1.Being antisocial: social networks replace the face to face contact to facilitate communication and even if you spend too much time connected to them, you forget what is live and you lose what's out there. 2. No privacy: Being so much time on social networks encourages that, like your most popular friends, want to interact and publish how amazing are your days. 3. Accidents : Using cell while waiting for transport to check the latest updates and pictures of your friends is the worst thing you can do. Several recent studies have shown that 48% of young drivers use cell phones while driving just to "see what's new." These 5 seconds can become a fatal error and even death. 4. Addiction: A study by Harvard University in 2012 revealed that too much exposure to the active social networks the same areas of the brain that cocaine and other drugs. In addition, you decrease productivity, they are ideal for leisure. 5.Depression: Too “Stalkear” your friends and spend a lot of time on Facebook can get you down to see pictures of parties where you could not go or were not invited, or who travel the bomb go while you're in your home or working boring.

Solution about these problems The solution for all the problems that facebook, and the others social media like this is to control the time that you are in these because if you don´t control and neglect your academic and social life, you will have both physical and emotional problems.

Conclusions of Facebook Facebook, like other social networks, used to share information between people through the network. It allows the use of three distinguished profiles: personal accounts, groups and corporate pages. It has become a social phenomenon, appearing on television news and gives a lot of talk, both individuals and companies. Many are those who have come together and give life to these pages, including pieces of their lives on the Internet. It is even likely that a family member or friend has uploaded a photo that you leave or has created a group that you think about your company. From now you have no excuse to stay out.

In December 2012, Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan announced they would give the majority of their wealth over the course of their lives to "advancing human potential and promoting equality" in the spirit of The Giving Pledge. On December 1, 2015, they announced they would give 99% of their Facebook shares (worth about $45 billion at the time) to the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.
