Facebook We think that Facebook would be very useful in a class room environment, for communicating with other students, finding out homework and tests, reminding each other of causes, upcoming events and watching videos and pictures/diagrams. We choose face book because over over 80% of the students in Qatar academy use Facebook on a daily basis and know how to use it unlike other websites which are much more complicated. We also understand that there is a specific age that a person needs to be which is 13 which is why it could be used starting from grade 8 and above. Also we have considered the fact that many parents don’t want their children to use it because they are worried about their safety which is why we want to bring up the fact that there are in fact lots of safety icons and precautions that could be taken. for example a person can make their account private from the privacy settings bar.

Facebook History It all got started back in 2003, as Face mash. Mark Zuckerberg created it, along with help of his friends and roommates Chris Hughes and Dustin Muscovite. Zuckerberg was in his sophomore year at Harvard when opened it up. At that time Mark Zuckerberg was a sophomore at Harvard University. The name for Facebook came from the publications that some colleges pass out to students at the beginning of the year to help students get to know each other better, called Facebook.
