President Truman believed the USSR… stood for a way of life that denied individual freedoms was destroying the possibility of Democracy in Eastern Europe aimed to undermine the West and spread Communism worldwide

General Secretary Stalin believed… Capitalism was evil and was in direct opposition to the freedom offered by Communism The worldwide expansion of American business and trade after the War was an attempt to dominate the world with Capitalism and undermine Communism The USA would use the threat of the atomic bomb to enforce its will worldwide
