Math, Science, and Technology MST Alumni Feedback How did enrollment in MST prepare you for college?  The heavier workload prepared me for college.  I was more prepared for harder courses. They don’t seem as hard.  MST helped me learn how to learn.  I learned time management and how to balance my workload.  The environment is very similar to college, so it eased the transition.  I wouldn’t be at DePaul without MST.  It helped me with Chemistry!  The rigor of the program helped.  I felt encouraged and felt more ambition to succeed.  I learned how to work in study groups.

Math, Science, and Technology Application Process and Requirements  Algebra 1 is a graduation requirement and also is a prerequisite for the MST Program.  Students who would like to be considered for acceptance into the MST Program must successfully complete Algebra 1 during the summer. -LCPS Summer School program is being restructured -Information on how/when Algebra 1 will be offered: TBA -Anyone who is not currently in Algebra 1, but will be applying to MST: please sign-in at the stage after this presentation What if my child is NOT in 8 th Grade Algebra 1?

Math, Science, and Technology Application Process and Requirements  Submit the following items to your home middle school counseling office no later than February 25, 2016: -Application -Typed essay (one page on back of application)  8 th grade Algebra 1 and Science teacher recommendation letters will be submitted by the teachers.  Take the NWEA MAP test (the winter test is currently being administered at your home middle school). Test scores will be forwarded to Pankow by middle schools. Current LCPS students
