5 Personalized Pathway Requirement (PPR) ● PPR’s allow flexibility for students ● PPR’s may be any course that aligns with the student’s career path ● High School and Beyond Plan should reflect PPR’s ● To use PPR option students will complete a PPR request form ● Freshman are encouraged to fill schedule with required courses ● PPR’s are best used during junior and senior year

8 Options for Your Future at GK: Advanced Placement (AP) ● Opportunity to take college level classes in high school (starting in 10 th grade). ● AP Courses ● World History, Psychology, US History, US Government & Politics, Microeconomics, Language & Composition, Literature & Composition, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Statistics, Calculus, Studio Art ● Get Ready ● Study and do well in 9 th grade courses. ● Save money for AP exams. ● Take honors classes at GK.

9 Options for Your Future at GK: Running Start ● Eligible 11 th /12 th grade students enroll in college classes to earn college AND high school credit. ● Eligibility determined spring of 10 th grade by taking COMPASS or ACCUPLACER (college placement test). ● Get Ready: ● Study and do well in 9 th and 10 th grade classes. ● Save money for college textbooks. ● Earn Physical Fitness credits in 9 th & 10 th grades.

14 Fill Out the Form Correctly ● Write in your course choices on the first page. ● Make sure to choose alternate courses. ● Page 2 – Courses offered for 9 th graders ● Locker Request – Check box & list your locker partner

15 Complete Your Form on Time ● Course Selection Forms are due February 29. Don’t forget a parent signature! ● Counselors will choose courses for students who have not turned in completed forms by February 29 ● GK Parent Information Night – February 24, 6:00 PM
