KS 3 in English, Maths and Science. Teacher assessments still reported English – key pieces of work assessed using APP. Maths- GCSE begun early, first module exams in March!!! Science – on-going assessment in addition to an end of year exam in June.

KS4 and beyond. Young people of 14+ now need to start to consider their future aspirations. There are now more options at 14+ to think about than ever before.

Core Curriculum All students study RE, English, Mathematics, Science, ICT, PE and PSHE. These take up the majority of a student ’ s time and all students must reach their targets in these subjects.

We then have options to consider.

OPTIONS All students then have five lessons per week available for optional courses. The combinations and choices made depend very much on the individual student and we provide a variety of mechanisms of support for this.

Support Work shops from external agencies encouraging students to think about how choices are made. Impact learning drama production about considering the variety of options available from Work with the school’s personal adviser on career and progression paths organised by Mr Robinson Options Evening and Keystage 4 curriculum booklet.
