1. What is POSCO Global Internship (PGI) ?

POSCO Global Internship Program 1. POSCO Global Internship (PGI) - The program premising contract employees at POSCO is a process for recruiting outstanding foreign students in Korea 2. Applicable Majors - All majors except Arts (preferred in MBA or Business fields) ※ some departments favor specific majors 3. Applicable Status - Graduate school students who have extra semesters (expected graduation day must be August 2010 or February 2011) - All nationalities are welcomed (only D-2 or F-4 visa status) ※ Korean proficiency is recommeded - English proficiency (advanced level) ※ Internees can do PGI during semesters along with studying 4. PGI Outline Recruiting (’10. 3 ~ 4) Recruiting (’10. 3 ~ 4) Two phases 1) examing career papers – checking eligiblity and competences 2) interviews (one and one) – comprehensive evalution ※ only for those who passed the 1st step Pre-Internship (’10. 5 ~ 6) Pre-Internship (’10. 5 ~ 6) Education programs every weeks (four times) – only for internees during vacation - Enhancing the understanding and knowledge about POSCO with educations and visits for Pohang or Gwang-Yang works Internship (’10. 7 ~ 8) Internship (’10. 7 ~ 8) Internship at assigned department for six weeks - Internees are evaluated by their practices and assignments about capability and suitability Final selection (’10. 9) Final selection (’10. 9) Final selection for outstanding internees - Excellent internees are interviewed by HR Group leaders

POSCO Global Internship Process 1. The recruiting number of PGI : about 50 persons ※ The status of the 30 will be contractors 2. PGI Process - After the PGI, excellent internees(about 30 persons)will be employed at POSCO ▪ Considering your schedule, you can do PGI along with studying - There are some programs on exchanging credits (conditonal) Recruiting Internees ① PGI during vacation (July ~ August) Recruiting excellent internees employed ▪ Pre-Internship Program ※ Those who choose this period must attend - Education for one day from May to June (four times) It is about enhancing the knowledge and understanding of departments and POSCO, including visits to Pohang or Gwang-Yang Works ② PGI during semester (May ~ June) ※ Evaluations are based on practices and assignment during PGI ※ contract status ○ Applicants have to choose one period above of the two

POSCO Global Internship Information 1. Salary and Welfare - Salary will be arranged on a daily basis during PGI (about ₩ 44,000 / a day) ※ All of the salary and welfare system are equally applicable to both Korean and foreign ones 2. Visa works - Internees have to do all visa works for themselves such as changing the status of visa ※ POSCO has no responsibility about any accidents during a visa process 3. Credits for School 4. Language - The pay day is every 20th - POSCO can provide the verification of intern activities for credits in school - No vacation during PGI - Only English at workplace except departments requiring other languages ※ Each school has different programs about credits for internship - POSCO supports visa fees and documents necessary for visa 5.
