RAINFOREST TARANTULAS By Sam

All about Tarantulas Tarantulas are part of the family of spiders called Mygalomorphs. Scientists believe they have been around for millions of years and not changed much over time. Prehistoric Tarantula preserved in Amber, (Hardened tree sap).

How many species are there? There are 700 kinds of Tarantulas. They are found in the rainforest and jungle of South America Central America and in Africa. Here are a few examples. Cobalt blue TarantulaMexican Red knee Tarantula Mexican Blood (or Fire) leg Tarantula

What do they eat? They eat other insects, beetles like Cockroaches and Grasshoppers

WHAT DO THEY LOOK LIKE? These spiders have large some times poisonous fangs, That can tare off pieces of bugs. Some species of Tarantulas can be extremely dangerous. They can also be very hairy and come in lots of different colours to camouflage themselves so they can pounce on their prey or defend their selves from other dangerous and bigger animals such as : Jaguars, Owls, spider wasps, snakes and others predators.

THANK YOU FOR LISTENING.
