5  Chameleons’ eyes are covered with skin. They see through a tiny hole in the middle. Chameleons can look backwards and forwards at the same time. They can focus one eye on one object and the other on something in the opposite direction. This means a chameleon can look at its prey and at the same time watch for predators that might try to make dinner out of the chameleon. A very BLUE chameleon!! A very BLUE chameleon!!

6  Chameleons eat a lot of things like night crawlers, cockroaches, mealworms, wax worms, crickets, cicadas, katydids, and king mealworms. They also eat. Earthworms, grasshoppers, caterpillars, silkworms, houseflies, pill bugs, green beetles, and small birds depending on the size of the chameleon.  Chameleons eat a lot of things like night crawlers, cockroaches, mealworms, wax worms, crickets, cicadas, katydids, and king mealworms. FOREVER

7  Chameleons may fight other chameleons if their living space becomes too crowded. Sometimes they bite and even kill each other. Normally, a threat display is enough to make one chameleon give in to another. The fighting chameleon puffs up their bodies and throat pouches and arch their backs, rocking to fro with a hiss. Often they rise up onto their back legs to frighten each other. They are not LIZARDS! They are their own species!

8  There are so many awesome facts about chameleons! For example the oldest chameleon living is the Mimeosaurus. it has been around since dinosaurs. Today there are over 156 species of chameleons living, 130 are tree dwellers. Most chameleons are arboreal and have opposable digits. A chameleon can catch 4 flies in 3 seconds tell me that’s not amazing. The resting tongue comes out right at the prey not giving the food any time to get away. They always have each other too. See they can not live without each other
