Homework Will start next week. How long should it take? minutes per night. When is it set? Given out on a Thursday and handed in on the following Wednesday. Where should it be completed? Spelling book and/or worksheet Homework may include Maths (timetables and reinforcing classroom learning) /Spelling/Reading/Topic Children are expected to read 5 times a week.

Reading with Your Child Words are everywhere Encourage success - Library books Changing books are done twice a week on Monday and Thursday. The record will be checked and stamped by a member of staff once a week Encourage comprehension and inference by asking your child questions as they read Reading records must be signed by an adult with the title of the book. Books to be in school everyday.

Spellings and Phonics Important for reading and writing. Spellings will link to the phonemes they are learning that week. Given on a sheet which can be left at home Weekly tests.
