Ways to help at home completion of maths/language/science homework encourage daily reading at home from a variety of books – school’s reading book, child’s own books, library books, manuals and instruction books – discuss book content check spellings are being learnt on a regular basis check multiplication tables have been learnt Year 6 homework is not a threatening experience – any difficulties which cannot be addressed at home will be reviewed in class.
