BIO-NINJAS….FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS 1. No bell work today. 2. ONE person log in to the computer at your desk. 3. Open a web browser and go to 4. Wait patiently for class to begin!

Today we begin our unit on animal systems.  Standard B.10A : describe the interactions that occur among systems that perform the functions of regulation, nutrient absorption, reproduction, and defense from injury or illness in animals  To start this unit, the class will create a Google slideshow about human body systems.  One person at each computer log in to your Birdville Google account

GOOGLE LOG IN GOOGLE PASSWORD Birthdate in mmddyyyy format.

Today we begin our unit on animal systems.  Go to tinyurl.com/deleonbodysystems6  Wait patiently!

You will have TEN MINUTES to complete this objective!  Each pair/group has been assigned a specific system and slide to work on.  You may only work on YOUR OWN SLIDE!  You may only work with YOUR PARTNER!  You may use your phone for additional research.  Be sure to follow the guidelines on your rubric.  Another class will have access to your work and will be grading your slides at the end of this period.  Make sure your work is a good reflection on us. Must be NINJA quality.

Slide Assignments  Excretory = Slide 1-2  Muscular = Slide 3  Skeletal = Slide 4  Nervous = Slide 5  Reproductive = Slide 6  Integumentary = Slide 7  Immune (Lymphatic) = Slide 8  Digestive = Slide 9  Respiratory = Slide 10  Endocrine =Slide 11  Circulatory = Slide 12

10 minute timer…

Now, an honest critique.  Open a new browser tab and go to tinyurl.com/jonesbodysystems6  Find the slide pertaining to YOUR SYSTEM.  On the back of your slide guidelines, find the grading rubric. Rate these students’ slides – 5 is AMAZING! and 1 is meh. Be honest!  Answer the two questions at the bottom of your grading rubric.  Now leave comments by typing those answers into the “notes” section of the slide you are grading. ( the students and teacher will instantly be able to read your comments. Keep it professional or this privilege is forever lost )  You have FIVE MINUTES. Close the browser tab when you finish.

Let’s see what they said…  Go back to the slide you created. What comments were made? Is there something you can fix or improve?  You have FIVE MINUTES to make your improvements.  Discuss the following questions with your partner. Type your responses in the “notes” section of your slide.  In your research, what did you discover about how organ systems work together?  Do you think that one single system could function on its own? Why or why not?
