The pituitary gland, located in the brain, is an important link between the endocrine and nervous systems. It is called the master gland because it produces hormones that control other glands.

Explain how the four systems (Nervous, Endocrine, Muscular, and Skeletal) work together to prevent injury if you touch a hot stove.
The nervous & endocrine systems recognize the increased temperature, and send signals to the skeletal & muscular systems to move the body away from injury.
