6 TH GRADE HOMEWORK Homework is essential for the mastery of skills and to reinforce content presented in class. Encouraging good study habits is a skill that must be practiced and developed; good study habits lead to success! Students are assigned homework regularly.

6 TH GRADE HOMEWORK *Students are assigned homework regularly... It is important to KEEP UP!  Assignments are posted on the classroom board every day.  In the first 5 minutes of class YOU need to write in your planner the homework.  You can also find homework listed on the Teacher and Team Websites.

HOMEWORK HELP, HOMEWORK HALL AND GO TIME Students have the opportunity to work on homework or attend tutorials BEFORE/AFTER school or during Go Time.

HOMEWORK HELP Homework Help is a more relaxed study atmosphere. Students may work independently, use computers, or work in groups. HOMEWORK HALL Homework Hall is a quiet study hall environment held in the library where students work independently. Computers are available. Afternoon Homework Help Location: Room Library Days: Monday - Thursday Time: 4:00 - 5:00 PM

Z-HALL If you do not complete a homework assignment you will be issued a referral to Z-Hall after school the day the zero was received (Monday - Thursday).  Z-hall is from 4:00 – 5:00 (M-TH) and students may ride the late bus home.  The missing assignment will be completed for a maximum grade of 70%.  You will contact your parents and let them know you were assigned Z-Hall. Missing assignments on Friday will be assigned z-hall the following Monday.

MAKE UP WORK & ABSENCES Missing school is hard but we know things come up! HBMS School Policy states that you have the same number of days that they were absent to turn in your work. If you were absent 1 day how many days do you have to make up the work? Notify Ms. Poucher when you are absent. Communication ( ) with teachers is always appreciated.
